I was also tasked with drawing the buttons around the gameplay interface. This includes the Play button, Pause button, a Paw icon and so forth.

All of which would have the same shape of the button. What the shape looked like and its colour was the important part. 16 Swans wanted me to make these buttons look iconic on top of being easy-to-see.

So I made many different designs and variations. I even thought about how some would look when pressed; like how some would be squished into a splotch. But that idea was scraped, as we wanted to keep these buttons simple.

In the end, we went for the classic dark brown against beige colour scheme of buttons. But for the longest time, it had been pink against green; a colour scheme I thought suited this game quite well.
